National Attention, National Game for #FlashFAST Football Tonight
The Flashes are set for MACtion prime time tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 3. Kent State hosts Northern Illinois in a battle of division leaders, kickoff time is set for 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN 2 and the Kent State Radio Network.

Soccer in the Running for MAC Tournament Title
Women’s soccer advanced to the MAC semi-final with an exhilarating 4-2 win over the Toledo Rockets. The Flashes rallied with three goals in the final 12 minutes of regulation to move on to the conference final four. As the three seed, the Flashes advance to take on the second-seeded Ohio Bobcats on Thursday night. Start time for the second semi-final is set for approximately 7 p.m. from host site Bowling Green.
Field Hockey are Co-Champs of MAC Regular Season
The Golden Flashes secured a co-regular season title with Miami on Saturday in their 2-1 win over Ball State. They are the two-seed in the tournament, hosted by Miami, and will take on three-seed Longwood Lancers on Friday. Face-off on Friday for the second semi-final of the day is set for approximately 2:30 p.m. in Oxford. Should Kent State win, they will advance to Saturday’s 2 p.m. title game.

Coach Starkey Inks Contract Extension
Kent State women’s basketball coach Todd Starkey has signed a contract extension through the 2025-26 season. Starkey has won 82 games in his five seasons while winning two MAC East Division Titles and two postseason WNIT appearances.
#FlashFAST Teammates on National Award Watchlists
Golden Flashes' quarterback Dustin Crum has been named to the Davey O'Brien Quarterback Class of 2021. He was already on the Award's watch list, being named to the Quarterback Class makes him eligible to be voted as one of 16 semi-finalists for the National Quarterback Award.
Wide receiver Dante Cephas has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List. The award is given annually to the best pass catcher in college football, regardless of position. He ranks in the top three in the MAC in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns and is one of three receivers to average more than 110 yards in conference play.
