Coach “Sendy” Picks Up MAC Win 100

Kent State men’s basketball coach Rob Senderoff picked up MAC career win number 100 as the Flashes used suffocating defense in a 66-63 home victory over Toledo on New Year’s Day.

With the victory, Senderoff became the 12th coach in conference history to reach 100 wins. He is the second Kent State coach to reach the milestone, joining Varsity ‘K’ Hall of Famer Jim Christian. Senderoff is the only one to reach the milestone entirely at Kent State.

The Golden Flashes are on national television this week as they take on the Ohio Bobcats in Athens on Friday night. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. The Flashes return home next Tuesday to host Northern Illinois with a 7 p.m. tipoff from the MACC.
