Lewis Tags Northern Iowa’s Jeremiah Johnson as New Defensive Coordinator
Kent State head football coach Sean Lewis has named Northern Iowa’s Jeremiah Johnson as new KSU defensive coordinator. Johnson had led a top-20 defense for the Panthers since 2013.
Cover Receives CFP Foundation Go Teach Scholarship
Kent State wrestler Jacob Cover received a scholarship through the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Go Teach Project. The initiative is designed to help student-athletes get into the education and teaching profession.
Gymnastics Set for Home Opener
Kent State gymnastics starts their 2022 season with a quad-meet in which they will be hosting Northern Illinois, University of Illinois and SE Missouri on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. Sunday’s home opener is the first of five home meets for the Golden Flashes this season.
Flashes Basketball Teams Look Forward to Busy Week Ahead
Come support your men’s and women’s basketball teams as they embark on a busy week at home. The women’s team is fresh off a hard-fought 54-51 win at Ball State and are set to host Eastern Michigan on Saturday at 1 p.m. The men’s team has another primetime matchup on Friday night as they host the Zips in a Wagon Wheel rivalry game. Tip off is at 8 p.m. and can be viewed on CBS Sports Network.
