The Kent State football team is hosting a signing day event in the MAC Center Loge on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. before the women’s basketball game against Central Michigan. Hear from the coaches about the latest signees as they break down the 2022 recruiting class and answer your questions.

Flashes Basketball Teams Set for Unity Week
Come support your men’s and women’s basketball teams next week as the women take on Central Michigan on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and the men welcome Eastern Michigan next Saturday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. Join us at the game as we celebrate diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging as well as kick off Black History Month. There will also be a free "Flashes United" Mask giveaway."
The men’s team will also be welcoming back Stan Heath, now the head coach of Eastern Michigan. This will be Coach Heath’s first trip back to the MACC after leading the 2001-02 Golden Flashes to a 30-win season and a run into the Elite 8.
Wrestling Hosting Cleveland State on Thursday Night
The Golden Flashes host local MAC rival Cleveland State on Thursday night inside the MAC Center at 7 p.m. While Kent State is coming off a hard fought loss to Buffalo, the Vikings have had their four-dual win streak snapped after a home loss to Navy. Tickets to the local rivalry are on sale now, and we hope to see you at the MACC to cheer on the Golden Flashes.
Gymnastics Welcomes Cornell and Rutgers for Military Appreciation Night
Kent State gymnastics is back home for a non-conference tri-meet this Friday at 7 p.m. as they welcome Cornell from the Ivy League and Rutgers from the Big 10. The Golden Flashes are coming off an impressive home tri-meet win as well as a victory on the road over Ball State to start the season. Their strong performance led to a razor-thin win of 194.875 to 194.800 over the Cardinals.
Coach Lewis Hires Brookings and Announces Staff Promotions
Kent State head football coach Sean Lewis has named Keelon Brookings as the team’s new cornerbacks coach and announced promotions for Zac Barton, CJ Cox, Colin Ferrell and Lee Stalker.
