Winters Named Guest of Honor for 10th Annual Athletics Scholarship Auction
The Golden Flashes Club is excited to announce that Varsity “K” Hall of Famer Brian Winters, ’13, will be the host and guest of honor for the 10th Annual Athletics Scholarship Auction on Friday, April 22. Tickets and registration are on sale now!
"We are very excited for the auction to return to the MAC Center and I cannot think of a better guest of honor and host to welcome everyone back than Brian Winters," Director of Athletics Randale Richmond said. "I am looking forward to a tremendous evening with our Flash Family that has an immediate and direct impact on our student-athletes. "

Flashes Well Represented at NCAA Convention
Kent State administrators, graduate assistants and a student-athlete kicked off the spring semester representing the Golden Flashes in a variety of areas at the NCAA Convention.

Flashes Sweep Wagon Wheel Rivalry, Set for Friday Night Blackout
The Golden Flashes held off the Zips in a buzzer beater at Akron to sweep the regular season in the Wagon Wheel rivalry.
After defeating Toledo on the road Tuesday night, Kent State looks to continue its seven game win-streak as they return home to host Ohio for a blackout on Friday night. Fans are encouraged to wear black and the first 2,000 will receive a black “shirzee” and lightsticks. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and can also be seen on CBS Sports.
Women’s Basketball Victorious on Play4Kay Day - Win Streak at 5
The Golden Flashes knocked off Ball State, 64-61, on Saturday at their annual Play4Kay game and have run their win streak up to five games. Kent State sits fifth overall in the MAC with three key games coming over the next week. Fans can catch the Golden Flashes on Wednesday night at home versus NIU at 7 p.m., on the road at Akron on Saturday at 2 p.m. and on Monday night at home against Bowling Green at 7 p.m.
Baseball Opens 2022 Season at Coastal Carolina
Opening Day for Kent State Baseball begins Friday as the team travels to Coastal Carolina for a weekend of games against the Chanticleers. The Flashes will have their home opener on Friday, March 11 against reigning MAC champion Central Michigan at Schoonover Stadium.
Baseball season ticket packages are available now. The Flashes have 26 home games this season, which averages just $4 per game! Plus, for a limited time, when you order season tickets, you will receive an exclusive Kent State Baseball apparel item!
Men Close Mobile Bay Intercollegiate Strong; Women Head to Florida State
The Golden Flashes men’s golf team got their spring season started at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama. As a team, the Flashes shot a four-under score of 284, tying Kansas State for the second-lowest round of the day. Read the full men’s recap here.
The men are back at it on Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Coral Creek Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.
The women’s squad is next in action Feb. 25-27 at the Florida State matchup in Tallahassee. Fans can follow along with the men’s and women’s teams throughout the spring through free live stats provided by GolfStat.
Softball Concludes Fort Myers Trip
In Kent State’s season opener against Long Island in Fort Myers, Fla, redshirt junior Alexandria Whitmore delivered a walkoff single to give Kent State a 5-4 win. The Flashes finished the FGCU Showcase with wins over perennial NEC favorite Long Island University. Freshman Kylie Ringer threw a shutout in her Kent State debut in a 1-0 win.
Kent State heads to North Carolina this weekend to take part in the Camel Stampede hosted by Campbell.
Kent State to Host Jud Logan Memorial Tune Up
The Kent State Track and Field programs are coming off a successful weekend at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier and will recognize Kent State Varsity “K” Hall of Famer Jud Logan ‘82 at this weekend’s indoor home event. Kent State has renamed the annual tune up meet after the hall of famer, longtime track coach and Olympian who passed away last month.
