Kent State gymnastics welcomed a new member to its team on Sunday in a pre-meet press conference. Maya joined the squad as part of Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization matching youth athletes facing serious and chronic illness with a collegiate athletic team.
Maya was on the sidelines as Kent State took down Bowling Green in the annual pink meet.
Kent State to Host Indoor MAC Championships This Weekend
The Kent State track and field programs will host the Mid-American Conference this weekend at the Kent State Field House. The last time the Flashes hosted the championships was the 2019 season. The championships will be streamed via Box Cast through KentStateSports.com.

Carry, Jacobs Rewrite History Book; Basketball Win Streak at Nine
The Golden Flashes are playing their best basketball in more than a decade, adding a historical performance Tuesday night vs. Ball State, putting them in a race for one of the top spots in the MAC Tournament.
Sincere Carry and Malique Jacobs each put on a show in front of the home fans, cementing themselves in the Kent State record books. Carry recorded a career-high 42 points and made a program-record 10 three-pointers. Jacobs became the first Golden Flashes in school history to record a triple-double, scoring 17 points to go with 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
Women’s Basketball Hosting Buffalo on Senior Day
The Golden Flashes have a pivotal game on Saturday as they host the Buffalo Bulls on Senior Day. The Flashes are in the thick of the Mid-American Conference race as they have only four games left in the regular season.
Kent State will be honoring five seniors on Saturday in a pre-game ceremony. Join the team and show your support for your Golden Flashes to help honor the senior class as they push towards the MAC Tournament and March Madness!
Baseball Knocks Off Coastal Carolina, Heads to No. 20 Texas Tech
Aidan Longwell scored the game-winning run on Sunday AND got the final six outs on the mound in a 2-1 win over Coastal Carolina to close the opening weekend. The Flashes stay on the road this weekend, heading to Lubbock to face the no. 20 Red Raiders. Links to watch and follow along are on the baseball schedule page.
The Flashes will have their home opener on Friday March 11, against reigning MAC champion Central Michigan.

Softball Heads to Campbell This Weekend
After an off week from competition, the Flashes are back in action in North Carolina this weekend. They will play in the “Camel Stampede” hosted by Campbell University. The Flashes will play five games in three days with a double header on Friday - Marshall University at 10 a.m. EST and Campbell at 5:30 p.m. EST.
Saturday they will face Campbell again at 3 p.m. EST and Howard University at 5:30 p.m. EST. The Camel Stampede will conclude with a game against Marshall on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. EST.

Vandette Named Golfer of the Week
Chris Vandette finished second overall at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate and earned Conference Golfer of the Week honors. The junior led the tournament with 15 birdies and was under par in all three rounds. He vaulted up the NCAA ranks and now sits 11th amongst all Division I golfers. He and the Flashes are back at it on Monday and Tuesday at the Coral Creek Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.
Women’s Golf Heads to Loaded Florida State Matchup
The Golden Flashes hit the links this weekend at the loaded Florida State matchup. Every team in the field is in the Golf Stat top 100 with several teams in the field ranked in the top 25. Action gets started on Friday for the three-day event. Follow along on Golf Stat.
