Flashes Announce Football Promotional Schedule and Game Day Information
Kent State Football celebrates its 100th season with five home games this fall. Fans are welcomed back to Dix Stadium complete with a fresh appearance, along with enhanced game day amenities and expanded dining options. Signature events this season include Parents and Families Weekend Saturday, Sept. 17, Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 1, and the 50th anniversary of the historical 1972 team Saturday, Oct. 22.

Kent State Surges to Top Two Finish at Gopher Invitational
After a strong Monday on the links, the Kent State Men's Golf team overtook Michigan State to finish the Gopher Invitational in a tie for second. The Flashes wrapped up their time in Independence, Minnesota, 15 strokes under par and just five strokes off the leaders from Georgia Southern.
Hoogeboom Makes History, Leads at Dick McGuire Invitational
Mayka Hoogeboom started her senior campaign in historic fashion, firing a nine-under 135 to tie the Kent State Women's Golf record for lowest 36-hole total, and holds a three-stroke lead going into the final round at the Dick McGuire Invitational. The Golden Flashes sit second in team standings with 572, six strokes off the lead.
Flashes Earn a Pair of MAC East Honors
Kent State linebacker Khalib Johns and punter Josh Smith have been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for their efforts at seventh ranked Oklahoma Saturday night.
Johns was a pass-rushing force against the Sooners, recording a pair of sacks and six total tackles. The Flashes limited the Sooners to only seven rushing yards in Saturday's first half and became the first Group of Five team to shutout the Sooners in the first quarter at home since 2013.
Big Weekend Earns McGuire First MAC East Offensive Player of the Week Selection
Kent State freshman Mackenzie McGuire has been named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
McGuire led the Golden Flashes to a 3-0 weekend and received MVP honors at the Marshall Invite. She averaged 5.19 points per set, and her 63 total kills were more than twice as many as her next closest teammate.
