Stambolich, Salopek Score as Flashes Beat Akron
Neither a 40-minute lightning delay nor a constant deluge of rain could dampen the momentum of Kent State Soccer as it topped Akron 2-0 in the first installment of the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge of the 2022-23 season.
The Golden Flashes (2-5-2, 2-0 MAC) have earned two consecutive wins to start Mid-American Conference play and have now beaten the Zips in 12 of the last 13 meetings.
Flashes Give No. 1 Georgia a Run in 39-22 Setback
Kent State closed the nonconference portion of its season this past Saturday giving the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs all they could handle in a 39-22 setback inside Sanford Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Flashes forced the Bulldogs' first three turnovers of the season and scored 22 points on a defense that ranked highly in the Football Bowl Subdivision, allowing only 3.3 points per game.
Flashes Impress in Collegiate Summer Leagues
The Golden Flashes baseball team had an impressive summer across several collegiate leagues. These collegiate summer leagues are wooden bat leagues that give players a chance to showcase their skills in a professional environment while continuing to improve from the spring season.
Wrestling Announces 2022-23 Schedule
Kent State Head Wrestling Coach Jim Andrassy is excited to announce the 2022-23 wrestling schedule. The Golden Flashes will host five events this season, split between the MAC Center and the Kent State Field House.

Flashes Announce New Family Four-Pack Plan
The Kent State Athletics Ticket Office is excited to announce a new family four-pack ticket package for home football games.
The Family Four-Pack includes four tickets and a concession voucher good for four Touchdown Combo Meals (four hot dogs, four chips and four soft drinks) for $70 dollars. This combo package is a 40 percent savings on the two remaining Saturday games and a 20 percent savings on the two mid-week #MACtion games.
Season Ticket Packages Now Available for Men’s and Women’s Hoops
Season ticket packages for the 2022-23 men’s and women’s basketball seasons are now available through the Kent State Ticket Office. This season offers general admission ticket plans for Kent State faculty and staff for both men’s and women’s basketball.
